The Daytime universe has woken up to a shock this week, as news spreads about General Hospital Star and Days of Our Lives alum’s shock divorce. As it turns out, Jon Lindstrom popularly knows for playing Ryan Chamberlain, as well as, Kevin Collins, on GH and his wife Cady McClain are headed for divorce.
The General Hospital star and DOOL’s former Jennifer Horton Deveraux announced the news to their fans and followers through a collaborated post on Instagram. The post indicates that it is not a spur of the moment decision, but a well thought through one, after a period of separation.
“Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status,” they began their announcement on their post. Further continuing that it may have become obvious to many through their previous posts that they are both taking time apart.
The General Hospital star and Days of Our Lives former stated that they both have different goals at the moment. “After serious consideration we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage,” Jon and Cady stated.
However, the duo announced that they remain friends and wish each other every happiness. It is a given that when stars end their relationships, their fans tend to get curious about the real deal. However, it is also to be understood that ending a long term relationship is hard enough, and they should not have to deal with the added stress of public scrutiny.
Resonating with that sentiment, the General Hospital actor and Days of Our Lives actress requested their fans to give them some privacy to deal with their emotions and the procedure privately.
“As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter,” they wrote. We hope Jon and Cady find the privacy and strength they need to come to terms with their decision.
