The VHS Tape That Opened Old Wounds
During the quiz night, Alfie Moon found an old VHS tape in the Queen Vic’s storage. He wanted to play it, and so he called Ross Marhsall. They both then found a way to get the tape running. However, Kat did not want them to play the tape. She thought Zoe would get irked by its memories. And so they decided to drop the idea.
At Halloween, the tape played by itself. The family watched the old 1998 footage, and Zoe got mad when she saw Harry Slater. He was her so-called uncle, and he was the same person who had raped Kat. Later, he even fathered Zoe for some time. Zoe lashed out at everyone and ordered them to leave the pub right now.
Elsewhere, Anthony Trueman came out of the toilets and found that the entire Vic was empty. And when Zoe saw him, she thought Anthony had played the video. She was angry and blamed him. Anthony stayed quiet but later told Kat that Zoe needed help. After saying, he left quietly.
Tommy Learns The Truth In EastEnders
After Anthony left, Zoe tried to calm herself down. Elsewhere, she even told her mom that she was ready to see the tape, as she did not want to hide it. Her young brother Tommy also sat beside her and was curious yet unsure about what was happening.
Later, they watched the tape together, and it showed Kat’s painful past. Harry had returned from Spain, and he wanted to control everything back then. Kat felt like the scared teenager on the screen and asked Zoe to stop the tape. Tommy wanted to find out what happened that day.
Then Kat told him everything about how Zoe was born. She even told how that night had changed her life forever. Later, Tommy asked Kat if people thought that he was a bad kid. After whatever happened with Joel recently, Tommy was frightened. Kat told him he wasn’t like that. Tommy wished he could go back and fix the family.
