Cheryl recently gave an interview where she revisited the moment she learnt that her journey on the BBC soap was ending. She spoke about how every actor got worried when they were called into the office on Friday. They used to call it “culling day”. However, when Cheryl was called this time, she knew something was wrong. 

When she entered the room, the executive producer was waiting with a box of issues. She shared. “I could see he was quite upset.” Soon, she learnt that her character, Heather Trott, would be written out. He then assured her that this decision was in no way related to her acting. It is only because the story is moving in a new direction. He further said, “We want to explore other characters.

After this, Cheryl got emotional, yet she tried to stay calm. She joked, “I handed him the tissues. I was only meant to be here for four episodes. I’ve done five years.
