Maggie, being her usual fiery self, warned Eva that if anything happened to Will, she’d be the one to blame. When Ben returned with no sign of him, it seemed time to call the police. But little did they know, Will was actually just across the street, hiding by Preston’s Petals. He even offered Lily Platt £20 to sneak into the Rovers and grab his passport. Thankfully, Lily decided to do the right thing and told Ben and Eva what she’d seen. But before they could get to him, Will vanished again.

Not long after, Will finally showed up and he wasn’t alone. He had his athletics coach, Megan, with him. She told Ben and Eva she’d found Will sleeping rough in the changing rooms and had brought him home. The couple were so relieved they didn’t question it and even tried to give her some cash for the trouble. Megan refused and left quickly, but something about her story didn’t sit right.
When they asked Will about the love note and why he needed his passport, he clammed up. Eva tried to calm things down, running a bath for him to help him relax. But the moment she turned her back, Will slipped out again, straight to Megan. The two hugged, and Megan told him running off abroad wasn’t possible just yet but promised she was working on a way for them to be together.
