Charlie recently spoke about her six-year journey when she was away from alcohol. Even the fans could notice the difference in her. She had recently shared some throwback snaps on social media. It was from her old party days. At that time, she used to have late-night fun and some tequila rounds.
Earlier, she used to enjoy those things that were madness. But now she says that the aftermath always came with “regret, shame and fear”. She even posted her photo where she opened a can of Stella Artois and captioned it, “Fags and booze. Oh my god. I used to LOVE them. My skin, body and mind did not.”
When Charlie used to drink and have late-night fun, she always woke up with regret. And at one stage, she didn’t want to live like that. She wrote, “That loop lasted a decade.” Charlie had even promised not to do so again. However, the next day she used to end up following the same cycle. However, one day she realised that, “I didn’t want to enter my 40s on the same merry-go-round.”

Meanwhile, when Charlie decided to choose sobriety, it wasn’t easy for her. She did it little by little. It was the best thing she has done recently. Even her fans agreed with her. They started commenting on her Instagram, showing support and love.
