Will Driscoll and his athletics coach Megan faced another turning point in the latest Coronation Street episode, as their dangerous secret came under new pressure inside the Driscoll home. But what happened around them changed the power dynamics in a way neither expected.

Megan Tries to Step Back But the Driscolls Pull Her In

Megan went into the day convinced she had to end things with Will. After George nearly caught them kissing, she finally realised how dangerously close they were to being exposed. She knew she needed to step away. But the car ride home from the athletics trip threw her right back into the mess. Will clearly struggled with her decision, arriving home in a foul mood and making it obvious just how tangled up he felt.

CS/ Driscoll family invites Megan

Megan tried to leave quickly, but Ben stopped her with a friendly thank-you for driving Will back from Leeds. He even pressed money into her hand for the lift. Having no idea what was really going on, he then invited her to stay for dinner, something Megan had no polite way of refusing. Dinner only made things worse. Ollie suddenly brought up Will’s “mystery girlfriend,” and it became awkward.

Will Makes a Big Ask and Everyone Takes It the Wrong

After Megan left, Will tried to explain himself to his dad. He said he didn’t want a new coach because he’d improved so much with Megan, and then dropped a bombshell; he asked Ben to consider letting him move to Hull so he could keep training with her. To Will’s shock, the emotional plea worked. Ben agreed, touched by how determined his son seemed to chase his dreams. But Maggie Driscoll wasn’t having any of that.

CS/ Megan and Will have a plan

She refused to let her grandson move miles away. So she teamed up with Eva and came up with their own plan, one they believed would fix everything. They approached Megan and offered to pay her to keep coaching Will in Weatherfield twice a week. They genuinely thought they were helping Will, completely unaware they were opening a door Megan had just tried to close. Later, with this new arrangement suddenly making things easier, Megan and Will met up again.

They agreed to continue their relationship, and Megan pulled Will in further by telling him he acted like “a real man” and not just “a boy with a crush.” Even with all this new access, Will clearly wasn’t coping well. His emotions stayed all over the place, and Megan’s lies piled up faster than she could manage. Every attempt she made to calm him only pulled them deeper into danger. At this point, Megan might need to start running, and not just on the athletics track. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all your Coronation Street updates.
