Leah Patterson continues to struggle in the wake of her nephew Theo Poulos’ tragic death, and tensions in Home and Away are only tightening. As grief spreads through the community, familiar faces try to support one another, but emotions remain on the edge, especially when past choices come crashing into the present.
Grief Still Takes Over Everyone in Home and Away
Since Theo died after stepping in front of a car to save his girlfriend Lacey Miller from Councillor Craig Wendell’s deliberate attack, his family has struggled to cope.
Cassandra has placed the blame firmly on Leah and refused to let her attend the funeral, leaving Leah devastated and convinced she failed Theo by not keeping him away from Lacey. Leah’s husband Justin stands by her and refuses to go to the funeral if she is not allowed, even encouraging her to consider grief counselling.

Leah quickly shuts down the idea and instead dwells on her final exchange with Theo, which only deepens her guilt. Justin reassures her that she did everything she could and convinces her to rest. Once she does, he finally crumbles under the weight of his own grief. Meanwhile, Lacey isolates herself on the beach until Sonny finds her and takes her to Salt, where she admits she doesn’t deserve anyone’s support.
Leah Reaches Her Breaking Point
Back at home, Leah continues to struggle with the reality that she won’t be at Theo’s funeral, prompting Justin to suggest honouring Theo in their own way. Leah isn’t ready and heads back to bed. Alf and Marilyn arrive with food and support, and their stories eventually make Leah smile again. She reconsiders her decision and invites more friends over. Sonny receives a message about the gathering and invites Lacey, but she declines, knowing she won’t be welcome.

Later, Remi, Sonny and Eden join Leah and Justin, and as memories and laughter fill the room, the group realises how much they needed the moment. While the celebration unfolds, Cash and David stake out Theo’s funeral, keeping an eye out for Wendell. When the councillor tries to flee, they pursue him in a high-speed chase that ends on foot. David grabs Wendell in anger until Cash steps in and pulls him back.
Back at the station, Cash confirms they found Wendell’s damaged car in a storage unit. Although the evidence will put him away for Theo’s death, they still need a confession to charge him with the killing of David’s wife years earlier. Cash later bumps into Lacey at Salt and tells her that Wendell has been arrested. Wanting to share the news, Lacey heads to Leah’s home.

However, Leah reacts with fury and tells Lacey she is not welcome there, adding that she will never forgive her for Theo’s death. Sonny escorts a devastated Lacey out, while Justin comforts Leah as she breaks down. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Home and Away updates.
