EastEnders Warning Signs As Lauren Pushes Ahead
The episode starts with Lauren speaking to the doctor. He assures her that he can help Jimmy with an experimental treatment. However, Peter believes it is all fake. He thinks the treatment is too good to be true. Peter tells her that Jimmy is perfect as he is. However, Lauren is not satisfied.
Elsewhere, Lauren goes to meet Cindy at the hospital. She also explains the treatment in detail. She thought that this could change everything for Jimmy’s future. However, Cindy is aware of the scams that take place. And so she tells her not to fall prey to such scams. However, Lauren refuses to hear her as she believes what she found is real.
And eventually she tells Peter that she will let it go. Still, it doesn’t seem as if she has ceased mulling it over. At a later time, the whole of Walford is gathering for a quiz night. There’s also a tie-break between Ian’s team and Elaine’s. Later, Ian won it, and there was a cheerful atmosphere. Elsewhere, Lauren and Peter even thank everyone for contributing to Lucy’s charity. However, things turned darker when Jimmy managed to grab a knife and cut himself. And Lauren gets panicked thinking about her son.
Lauren Gets Betrayed
Lauren later runs to Ian, completely shaken. She asks him to help pay for the treatment. However, he refuses to pay. However, she ignored all the warnings from everyone around him. And she takes the money that the community had donated for Lucy’s charity. And then she transfers it directly to the doctor.
However, when she called him moments later to confirm the details, the number had disconnected. Now the money is gone, and Jimmy’s condition is the same. She soon realised that she was manipulated during her vulnerable time.
Elsewhere, Peter notices that something is bothering her. And Lauren needed someone who would not judge. And unexpectedly, she receives support from Ian Beale. They have not been so close.
