Something strange is starting to happen around young Will Driscoll on Coronation Street, and it’s finally catching someone’s eye. No big blow-ups yet, but the little moments around him are getting hard to ignore, especially now that another character quietly starts noticing things that don’t feel right.

The Past Few Weeks Make More Sense Now

You’ll remember Will turned up in Weatherfield later than his family, and at the time, he and a woman named Megan had a whole story ready to explain it. Will thought the lie made everything sound fun and exciting.

In reality, it was there to hide something far darker, Megan had been sexually abusing him while making him believe they were in a proper relationship. Since then, Megan has been doing everything she can to keep Will close. She tests him, stirs up his jealousy, and slowly works her way into the Driscoll family so no one suspects anything.

Ben and Eva still have no idea what’s really going on and treat Megan like someone Will simply trusts. Things take a turn when Eva pushes Will to apologise to Lauren after he tried to kiss her. Lauren tells him she’s not upset anymore, so Will heads straight off to meet Megan.

But this time, someone is watching. Lauren spots them together from a distance and immediately feels uneasy. Because of her own past with Joel Deering, she recognises the early warning signs. It hits her instantly: something about Megan and Will’s behaviour doesn’t sit right.

Someone Finally Sees What’s Really Happening

Lauren’s the first person on the Street to notice Megan’s behaviour isn’t normal. She can pick up on things others missed because she lived through something very similar. And while Lauren quietly pieces things together, Megan starts to panic a little. To protect herself, Megan suddenly starts seeing Daniel. It’s clearly a distraction tactic, something she can point to so her connection with Will looks innocent if anyone starts asking questions.

Actress Beth Nixon explained that she didn’t play Megan as a one-note villain. She said Megan knows exactly what she’s doing, even though the other characters and the audience don’t fully understand her yet. Beth also mentioned that she created a whole emotional backstory in her head and that these things shaped the way she behaves. Beth shared that Megan made a real effort to get close to Eva and Maggie so they wouldn’t think anything was wrong. They actually believe Megan is a great influence on Will, which makes Lauren’s suspicions even more important.

Now that Lauren’s watching Megan more closely, things are about to get tense. Lauren has to decide whether to speak up, confront Megan directly, or figure out another way to protect Will and none of those choices will be easy for her.
