The intense and controversial docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV recently created waves on the internet as many Nickelodeon stars decided to break the silence on the hidden dark world of TV.
Many even sat to discuss the darkest stories regarding Dan Schneider. While many individuals from Sam & Cat, The Amanda Show, Victorious, and iCarly joined the docuseries, Ariana Grande refused to be a part of the show.
Well, the tell-all docuseries reveals the darkest and most terrifying stories of Nickelodeon behind the scenes, alleging racism, sexism, and more. While stars like Drake Bell decided to appear on the show, Ariana Grande, Amanda Bynes, and Jamie Lynn Spears chose to remain in the dark.
Although Ariana was a part of Nickelodeon’s biggest shows, Victorious and Sam & Cat, she denied spilling anything about her relationship with Schneider in the tell-all docuseries. But Ariana didn’t shut down the rumors, claiming she had a hard time working with Schneider.
Just when Quiet on Set was announced, Ariana took to her social media, where she hinted that the truth would come soon: “No matter how hard anyone tries to hide it,” leaving fans to believe that something terrible also happened to her.
A source close to Ariana Grande later officially announced the Thank You Next singer would soon discuss her side of the story once she was ready. The source further claimed that “she always knew what happened.”
As for Bynes, she shared a relationship with Schneider. Their relationship blossomed when the two worked together in film and television. Soon, their relationship peaked, but it wasn’t healthy, per source. Since Schneider was influential and instrumental, Bynes looked up to him, which later created problems in their life.
Another source claimed that Bynes was seen hugging and giving Schneider a massage when she was just a kid. Thus, Bynes had nothing to share about Schneider as she once stayed with him.
Meanwhile, Spears is trying to keep a hold on herself. A source claimed that after watching the docuseries Spears realized that the physical comic scenes which she found silly back then, now looked “very disturbing.”
Undoubtedly, things have changed, and the stars will soon break the silence once they feel ready to discuss. While the other survivors, like Bell and Alexa Nikolas, revealed that they had a hard time dealing with such abuse. Bell alleged that dialogue coach Brian Peck sexually abused him, while Nikolas revealed that the experience disturbed her mental health and self-esteem.
