As the festive season approaches, Liverpool is gearing up for a packed schedule of Christmas magic. The M&S Bank Arena has revealed several exciting shows to delight audiences, and one pantomime features our very own Coronation Street star stepping into a brand-new role.
A Familiar Face With a Fresh Start
Coronation Street fans know Helen Flanagan as Rosie Webster, a role she played on and off for years. Since her last soap appearance, Helen has branched out, including a stint on Celebs Go Dating in 2022. Last year, she was set to join the Cluedo 2 theatre tour but had to withdraw due to medical advice. Fans eager to see her back in live performance were left waiting.

In April 2025, Helen told the Liverpool Echo she’s “never out of Liverpool.” She’s drawn to its friendly vibe and warm people. She even shared her favourite city spots, the Municipal Hotel and Castle Street’s The Ivy and San Carlo restaurants among them. Now, it seems Liverpool is where she’ll mark her stage return, and it’s happening just in time for Christmas.
Coronation Street: Helen Flanagan Cast as Wicked Queen
Helen will make her pantomime debut as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The 34-year-old actress will star alongside X Factor’s Sean Smith, who will play the Prince. The festive cast also includes comedian Bippo as Muddles, Ellis Lloyd as Snow White, Andy Brennan as the Henchman, and Rebecca Lake as the Fairy.

Snow White isn’t the only holiday highlight at the Arena this year. Elf the Musical, starring Jordan Conway, runs from December 6 to 7. And on November 30, an Irish-themed Christmas concert will bring festive favourites to life with singers, musicians, and dancers.
