Beyond the Gates: Goings and Durretts Enjoy Each Other’s Company Off-Screen
Beyond The Gates actors Timon and Marquita play Hayley and Bill on the soap. In a recent interview they shared that they enjoy their time playing these characters. The interviewers remarked that the two enjoy their time on-screen, to which Goings replied that she enjoys the freedom she has while playing Hayley. That freedom allows her to ‘step outside herself’ for the better.
She further added that it is really fun working with Durrett. She said, “In between takes, Timon is cracking jokes and has us laughing.” Marquita further added that ‘she is very fond of joking behind the scenes and then returning back in front of the camera to play her delusional character Hayley.’ This year in March she posted and shared some glimpses of the soap’s launch event. The actress said that Bill is serious and ruthless, but Timon is nothing like him.
Durrett Compares Good Reviews To ‘Having A Good Meal’
Durrett said he also enjoys working with Goings. She and her character are poles apart, he remarked. Timon also spoke about them joking the whole time off camera. “We play on camera and off camera; it’s just a cool dynamic,” Durrett emphasised. He also said that while rehashing, they tend to learn the nuances while playing the characters. The actor said, “We get to learn the different things that we can do that add realism.”
He also said that it helps them build a good on-screen chemistry between Bill and Hayley. Timon further added that playing around behind the scenes really helps them to work on their on-screen dynamics. He said it feels like “having a good meal”; when the viewers seem to be liking and appreciating their efforts, they put up realistic dynamics on-screen. Last year in October both the actors made an announcement post about their arrival in the soap.
Both the actors seem to be enjoying each other’s company. Whereas fans are intrigued to see what happens with this new Mrs Hamilton and ex-Mrs Hamilton situation, as recently it was revealed that Dani and Bill shared some happy moments together and the former couple even kissed. It is still unknown if this is another manipulative trick Bill has played or if his feelings are true towards his ex-wife.
