Beyond The Gates fans were surprised when Paramount+ removed the entire first season at the start of the year. Many people were puzzled as season two was released on January 2. Season One Returns After Sudden Disappearance
The first week of 2026 was a noisy one inside the show’s fandom. When people opened Paramount+, however, they couldn’t find the first 200 episodes. Fans were busy during the holiday season and had planned to see the episodes later. However, they saw an empty page. And they were left disappointed.
Paramount+ takes down older seasons when a new one begins. This has happened with The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. However, this time a new soap has been affected. Sean Freeman, who plays Andre, noticed this. He posted on Facebook that the cast also didn’t expect the removal.
He said the group chat received many messages as nobody knew such a thing would happen. However, he said that the platform sometimes clears past seasons. It’s to make space for new releases. Elsewhere, the team were finding the best place so that viewers can finish season 1.
And when everybody was waiting for an explanation, Paramount+ brought back all the episodes on January 6. Even Freeman celebrated the news. Mike Manning, who plays Smitty, also thanked the fans for sticking with them. One fan wrote that she was still catching up. However, she is now relieved to continue without restarting the search on other sites.
