A Tough Birthday & A New Ted Coming To Town
Thursday is Eva’s birthday, but not much to celebrate. After a lovely pizza night with Martin and his family on Wednesday’s show, Eva is once again feeling very isolated. Her mother, Leslie, has cut her out entirely, and it’s clearly getting to her.
But things could take a turn when she meets up with her dad. This episode is the first to feature actor Keith D. Robinson as Ted Richardson, taking over from Maurice Johnson in the role. It’ll be a new beginning for Ted, and hopefully one step toward healing with Eva. If they find some time together, it might be just the lift she needs on her special day.
Beyond the Gates: Kat Accuses, Leslie Stirs the Pot
Meanwhile, Kat is ready to push back. She’s been holding in a lot, and now she’s ready to confront Leslie. But it’s Eva who takes the hit. Kat accuses her half-sister of being behind Laura’s accident, and surprisingly, Leslie doesn’t deny it.
Of course, the audience is aware of the truth: Leslie was the one who drove Laura off the road. But Leslie being Leslie, she may be on the verge of manipulating the facts and blaming Eva. Could she fabricate evidence? Maybe. And with Kat still resentful of Eva’s position in the family, these two could join forces, although we really hope Kat doesn’t go that far.
Ashley & Derek Drift Apart
Everything is also coming undone for Ashley and Derek. The thrill they shared is nowhere to be found now that they’ve moved in together. On Thursday, it’s obvious they’re tiptoeing around each other. Something just isn’t working anymore.
With this couple likely on the brink of a breakup, some viewers are wondering if Ashley will find herself with a new guy, perhaps even Andre Richardson. He’s busy with Dani at the moment, but hey, this is Beyond the Gates. Anything can go. Could a new love triangle be in the works?
Thursday night’s episode features a new Ted, a courageous accusation, and a relationship that is probably coming to its conclusion. Eva may feel isolated, but she’s still in the running.
