A big surprise is coming to Beyond the Gates, but the producers are keeping things hush-hush for now. Now that the drama at Fairmont Crest continues to grow, fans are already excited about what or who might be coming in this fall. And even though everything is hush-hush, it’s been teased that longtime soap lovers are in for a real treat.
All Eyes on Fairmont Crest
Recently, Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Dr. Wendy Osefo spent a day filming scenes for the show. Executive producer Sheila Ducksworth teased that they had some “super fun scenes” lined up and couldn’t wait for fans to see them.
Daphnée Duplaix, who plays Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, also opened up about the cameos during a TV interview on WKRC Local 12 News with anchor Aleah Hordges, who just so happens to be the real-life sister of Jibre Hordges. Duplaix said the Housewives brought a fresh energy and added authenticity to Fairmont Crest, and that their scenes would air in the fall.
Duplaix was joined by co-stars Keith D. Robinson and Colby Muhammad during a visit to Cincinnati for the Music Festival. While there, they also took part in a panel hosted by Procter & Gamble, one of the show’s producers along with CBS Studios and the NAACP.
Of course, Housewives cameos are nothing new to Beyond the Gates. Karen Huger made a splash in the series premiere earlier this year with her iconic line, “Welcome to Fairmont Crest!” as she snapped her fingers in the air while Hayley Lawson recovered from a sharp slap from Dani Dupree.
Beyond the Gates: A Soap Star Fans Know and Love
Now, for the big tease, Beyond the Gates is bringing in a brand-new male character this fall, and producers say fans already know and love him. Executive producer Michele Val Jean dropped the hint while speaking to Deadline during the show’s 100th episode celebration. She revealed, “I think the soap opera world will be very, very happy about [the casting]. And it’s a male.”
Sheila Ducksworth added to the mystery, saying she couldn’t reveal his name just yet, but confirmed that “longtime soap fans all know and love him.” While they’re keeping his identity under wraps, that one clue has fans everywhere making guesses and hoping for a familiar face from another beloved soap.
Although no one’s naming names, this new “hot male” is ready to bring a storm in Fairmont Crest. We’ll just have to wait and see. But the producers seem confident that his arrival will be one of the season’s biggest moments.
