Ted is still trying to deal with the fallout from that anniversary party disaster, but things aren’t going well for him in Beyond the Gates. Meanwhile, Vanessa is keeping her cool with Joey. Someone from Martin’s past may have pushed Vernon too far. Friday’s episode promises more tension than usual, and things aren’t looking good for a few familiar faces.
Ted Faces the Fallout in Beyond the Gates
Ted has been trying to fix the mess since the night of the anniversary party when Nicole found out about his affair that lasted decades, along with a child from it. Sending flowers won’t solve this. Nicole arrives at his office, calm but firm, with an envelope in hand.
She says she “needs to do this,” and he agrees. Those are likely divorce papers or maybe she’s pushing to sell their house again. Either way, Nicole is done waiting.
Meanwhile, Vanessa McBride is not giving up on Joey Armstrong. After she learned he tried to use Doug’s gambling debt to pull her into his money-laundering scheme, she shocked everyone, especially Joey, by negotiating.
Instead of blowing up, she told him he should have come to her directly. Then she made her move, clear Doug’s debt and give her and Doug a bigger share, and they’ll cooperate. The two sealed the deal with a kiss and maybe something more. But is Vanessa falling for him, or is she planning payback?
Vernon Strikes Back
In another part of Fairmont Crest, the mysterious man known as Kenneth keeps following Martin and Vernon. After whispering, “What’s the color of your money?”, a line connected to Martin’s dark past, he is clearly trying to provoke them.
Martin finally told Vernon everything. After Kenneth played innocent again, Vernon quietly made a serious phone call, mentioning that someone had promised to take care of this. It looks like Vernon is ready to take control of the situation. Fired? Threatened? We’ll see how far he goes to protect his family.
