Beyond the Gates fans will need a bit of patience this week. CBS is airing rebroadcasts of the show’s earliest episodes. That means no new drama until July 8. But don’t worry. The preview of what’s coming next more than makes up for the wait.
Deals in Diners, Trouble at the Station & a Secret That Won’t Stay Buried
One of the biggest surprises in the promo is Hayley Hamilton and Leslie Thomas sharing a booth at the diner. Two of the most unpredictable women in town are suddenly making friendly conversation. Leslie leans in and asks, “So friend, how are we going to help each other?” Hayley just grins. It seems these two might be teaming up, possibly setting their sights on the Dupree family.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Jacob Hawthorne and Smitty Smith are deep into a case. Smitty reveals he’s found a link between Vernon Dupree and Detective Marcel Malone.
That’s a big deal, and things only get messier when we remember what happened at Joey Armstrong’s casino during the June 27 episode.
That’s when viewers saw Randy Parker try to take out Kenneth, who was lured there by Martin Richardson with the promise of a $100,000 payout. Whether Kenneth made it out or not, that secret from two years ago still hangs in the air, and Smitty and Jacob might finally bring it all to light.
A Gun on the Table & Sisters at War in Beyond the Gates
Elsewhere, Vernon and Dani Dupree sit down at the country club, but things get tense when Dani directly asks if Martin is what’s bothering him. Whether Vernon tells her the truth remains to be seen, but Dani’s troubles aren’t over yet.
Her daughter Naomi Hawthorne appears next in the preview. She frantically calls Jacob from the hospital, begging him to come immediately. Is it an emergency involving Bill Hamilton, who recently had a stroke? A relapse wouldn’t be surprising.
Back at the casino, Joey and Randy are in an intense discussion when Doug McBride walks in and exclaims, “What the heck?” We then see a quick shot of Joey grabbing a gun from the table, followed by Vanessa McBride at the bar with Doug. She asks Randy if he’s afraid of Joey. He doesn’t hesitate in his response: “Terrified.”
That’s not the only heat coming next week. In Ted Richardson’s office, Eva Thomas and Kat Richardson go head-to-head. Eva lashes out, calling Kat a “spoiled, selfish little b!tch,” and Kat snaps back, “Is that the best you’ve got?” It’s messy and personal, and it looks like their training session has turned into a full-blown showdown.
Caught Red-Handed & Dani’s Fury Ignites in Beyond the Gates
The promo ends with one of the most shocking moments: Andre Richardson stepping out for the night with Ashley Morgan. He wraps his arm around her and says, “Ready to turn some heads?” They certainly do, just not in the way they expect.
Dani, clearly devastated, storms into the bar and slams her purse on the counter. She locks eyes with Andre and Ashley, who are sitting hand in hand at a table. They see her. She sees them. Just like that, everything changes.
Andre and Ashley might have planned for a fun night out. But once Dani Dupree gets involved, all bets are off. Fans remember how hard she spiraled when Bill chose Hayley over her.
