It’s about to get hot in Fairmont Crest, and this latest Beyond the Gates preview has all the gasps, side-eyes, and possibly even slaps. As old fires are reignited and new scandals come boiling to the surface, some of our least favorite (and favorite) cast members are about to get themselves into some seriously hot water, again.
Doug Walks In on Trouble, and Joey Isn‘t Hiding It
If Doug McBride thought his marriage was shaky before, he‘s going to witness it crack open wide. The May 19 week begins with Joey Armstrong turning up the flirtation high at the diner, right under the nose.
Vanessa McBride sits opposite him, smiling, as she cheekily says, “What can I say? When I’m good, I’m great.” Joey smirks back, “And when you’re bad, you’re better? ” Without missing a beat, Vanessa tosses it back: “You tell me!? ” Joey?
Oh, he’s loving it. “Bad is definitely better.” And just when the flirt-fest comes to a boil, guess who walks in? Yep. Doug.
His gaze falls on his wife and Joey laughing like teens, and his face? Straight out of a thundercloud. Will Vanessa finally make that next move with Joey? The spark is there, and the fire may not wait much longer.
Anita‘s Blast From the Past in Beyond the Gates
Over in town, Anita Dupree is being visited by someone who brings nostalgia and side-eye. Her old Articulette bandmate Tracy stops by for dinner, and things get light. Anita teases, tellingTracy not to flirt with her husband, Vernon. Vernon interjects, asking if he gets a say, and both women quickly squelch that with a laughing “No!”.
But this is Beyond the Gates, not a girls‘ brunch. Is Tracy really theone who should be left alone around Anita and Vernon without any chance of provoking them? Let‘s just say. keep your peepers peeled on that dinner table.
Meanwhile, Ashley Morgan is in for a mess of her own making. The preview shows her sharing a warm embrace with Andre Richardson and whispering, “Thanks, Andre. You’re a good friend.” Sweet, right?
Sure, except Derek Baldwin is literally outside the door, eavesdropping. If he walks in now, it won’t just be an awkward hug, it could be a breakup bombshell.
Leslie Plays Victim, Ted’s Patience Runs Out
And then there‘s Leslie. Our resident bad girl is at it again, greetingTed Richardson with a malevolent smile. “Teddy-boo, what kept you?”she coos at the door. But Ted isn‘t here to socialize. Ted‘s on high alert, and he‘s probably about to call her out on her latest low blow, attempting to pin Laura‘s crash on Eva.
Let‘s not forget: Leslie‘s the one who really did run Laura off the road. But Leslie wants Eva to take the blame so her mom can get away scot-free. Ted? He‘s about ready to burst—and honestly, we wouldn‘t blame him.
From betrayal and flirtation to bold accusations and damaged relationships, Beyond the Gates isn’t letting up during May sweeps. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all your Beyond the Gates spoilers, recaps, and hot news!
