Thursday’s episode of Beyond the Gates promises to test loyalties, shake up families, and bring long-suppressed emotions to the surface. In typical soap fashion, one character faces a moral dilemma, another gets hit with an unexpected shocker, and the past continues to haunt those who thought they’d buried it for good.
Eva Dares to Drop a Bombshell on Her Dad
Ted Richardson guessed something’s been bothering Eva, and he’s correct. She’s kept Leslie’s motorcycle helmet and boots from the evening Laura Peterson’s car veered off the road. Leslie attempted to blame the accident on Eva, but rather than turning over the evidence to the police, Eva retained it.
Now, Ted presses her to talk, and Eva finally owns up. What she does next, particularly whether she reports Leslie, is still in the balance. But the cat’s out of the bag, and Ted might be the one who prompts her to do the right thing.
Kat Reels, Laura Returns in Beyond the Gates
Elsewhere, Kat Richardson is struck with shocking news. Having earlier obtained a warrant to raid Leslie’s premises on June 4, Jacob Hawthorne must have done something obviously unexpected. Either the police discovered incriminating evidence, or nothing at all, Kat is shaken.
There’s also Andre Richardson’s technology thing to take into account. He took a photo of Leslie and threatened her that facial recognition would connect her to the security footage at the hospital.
If he’s reported this to Kat, the over-the-top reaction becomes understandable.
While that’s happening, Laura finally returns to work. Mona, Nicole, and Kat greet her warmly with a surprise welcome, but readjustment turns out tougher than imagined. Laura immediately turns to an unexpected ally for assistance, what she needs assistance with has not yet been disclosed.
Anita’s Painful Confession Shocks the Past
Meanwhile, back at the Duprees’ house, Anita is facing her own emotional burden. She just revealed to Vernon all about Barbara, the overlooked fourth Articulette who named the group but was ousted by a producer. Anita acknowledged she said nothing when it happened, and Barbara ended up committing suicide.
Now that Sharon is returned and tension is building, the past is colliding with the present. Sharon’s bitterness, coupled with Anita’s years of guilt, threatens to stop any possibility of an Articulettes reunion.
