Things are getting tense in Fairmont Crest, and Tuesday’s episode of Beyond the Gates promises plenty of emotional fallout. Eva struggles with the weight of recent accusations, Ashley finds comfort in someone unexpected, and Anita faces an old friend with an even older grudge. Let’s break it down.
Anita‘s Plans for the Reunion May Get Scared Off
Anita Dupree could’ve wished for an easy reunion with former Articulettes bandmate Tracy, but sometimes history‘s not so easily rewritten. Tracy will reportedly appear shortly, perhaps during this Tuesday‘s episode, and there remains much unresolved tension between her, Anita, and the third member of the group, Sharon.
But still, Anita and Tracy appeared willing to start anew when they committed to dinner last week. Whether that develops into an actual reunion, or more tension, remains to be seen. It might be pleasant for Anita to have someone from her past back in her life, but givenFairmont Crest‘s history, you never know who‘s baggage they’re bringing.
Beyond the Gates: Ashley Turns to Andre—But Is Derek About to Walk In?
Ashley Morgan is not having an easy time of things lately. Her on-again, off-again relationship with Derek Baldwin has gotten progressively worse, and after their most recent blowout, she found herself at the bar, obviously needing to clear her head. That‘s where she bumped into Andre Richardson.
And on Tuesday, it seems like Andre and Ashley will be depending on each other a bit more—possibly more than they intended. In one ofthe scenes from the preview, Ashley thanks Andre and calls him a good friend as she hugs him. The problem is, Derek‘s hiding justoutside the apartment door. If he comes in now, things can quickly turn sour, for everyone.
Eva Clings to Her Dad—While Leslie Keeps Playing Games
Meanwhile over on Eva‘s side of affairs, she‘s still in shock over all that‘s transpired, particularly now that her name is being dragged through the mud for Laura Peterson‘s car accident. Although Leslie was the driver, Katherine “Kat“ Richardson covertly taped her nearly confessing, but also suggesting that Eva might have been to blame.
On Monday, Leslie was dragged to the police station and managed to remain calm somehow. She informed Jacob Hawthorne that it was impossible for Eva to have done it and that she was just playing games with Kat.
But she was not able to specify where Eva was when the crash happened, and that could be something Jacob would use as a red flag against her.
For the time being, Eva‘s leaning on her father. Ted made a real effort to step up on her birthday, took her out to dinner and presented her with a considerate gift. It wasn‘t lavish, but it meant a lot. And this week, Eva will continue to turn to him as things intensify. Ted could be her sole steady support at this point, particularly if Jacob begins digging more deeply.
If it comes to that, however, will Leslie really throw Eva under the bus to save herself? Anything‘s possible with Leslie. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for your daily fix of Beyond the Gates spoilers, news, and all the drama.
