Just when Fairmont Crest thinks it’s getting a break, Beyond the Gates adds more secrets, plots, and personal paybacks. Friday’s (May 30) episode sees a mix of drama: a possible smoking gun, a scheming daughter who’s conspiring behind mom’s back, and a diva who’s questioning her past.
Kat Moves in on Eva, Will She Be the Key?
Kat Richardson is remaining fixed on one objective: defeating Leslie Thomas for good. With the help of Jacob Hawthorne, she acquired a fuzzy surveillance photo that appeared to depict Leslie in nurse disguise, just when Laura’s potassium mishap wrecked her recuperation.
But the photo wasn’t clear enough to be firm evidence. Even Mona, the loyal family helper who’s essentially pleading for forgiveness, couldn’t affirm it was Leslie. And that is significant, given that she’s the one who opened the door for Leslie by mistake in the first place.
Step in Eva. Promo clips hint that she may employ a spare set of keys to break into Leslie’s residence and steal the ultimate proof, her helmet and gloves.
Same equipment that can implicate Leslie in the hit-and-run on Laura, no less. If Eva does deliver them into Kat’s hands, she could quite possibly turn from family betrayer to everyday hero. But will Kat take it, or remain vigilant?
Beyond the Gates: Ted Wants Nicole Back—Is It Too Late?
While the Richardson sisters dig for truth, Ted’s off on a spiral into emotional turmoil. Since Leslie blew up his perfect husband routine, he’s been dying to get Nicole back. Trouble is, he has no clue where to start.
Nicole’s world was broken, and while Ted is not a villain by nature, he committed one huge blunder. Now, he has no idea how, or if, he can remedy it. Rumor is, he may rely on Kat to smooth over the situation. But given her current assignment, she might not have a lot of sympathy to spare for Dad’s love life.
Anita’s Past Comes Knocking… With a Tune
Meanwhile, Anita Dupree is confronting demons of a different sort. Things were on the upswing after she reconciled with Tracy of her former girl group, the Articulettes. Now they’re only a step away from an outright reunion, if Sharon can be persuaded to come back.
But Anita isn’t so sure that’s such a great thing. She’s admitted to Vernon that her Articulettes days uncovered a ruthless part of herself that she’d rather forget. The prospect of getting back on the stage gives her a shiver: would that ambitious, hard-as-nails version of herself revive itself?
Still, the music calls. And with the reunion this close, it might be too late to walk away—even if it means facing parts of herself she hoped were long gone. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for your next fix of truth, drama, and twist-filled news from Beyond the Gates!
