Naomi rushed to her grandmother for help as she struggled with an emotional dilemma- whether to fight a case against her father’s firm or not. Naomi laid out all the reasons for not pursuing the sexual harassment case. Those reasons revealed Naomi’s doubts about winning the case.
Her father has years of experience, and the media would also turn the case into a father-daughter showdown. Anita listened to her, and instead of questioning her, she reminded her of the strength all Dupree women possess. All she needed was a little push!
Beyond that, the grandmother and granddaughter had a good conversation about the past. Anita shared her struggles, challenges and the reason for leaving her career. Meanwhile Jacob and Marcel didn’t have a face-to-face conversation in Monday’s episode. But Jacob couldn’t let of the feeling that his mentor Marcel wasn’t behaving according to his expectations. Instead of guiding him, his role model has been ignoring him and treating him more like an assistant.
By the end of the episode, the soap fans knew that Jacob has to be careful and not trust Marcel. Even his father, Chief Elon who knows the full story about the cop, chose to not reveal everything to his son. Instead, he warned Marcel to treat his son well.
It seemed like Marcel was in contact with the casino boss – Joey. He informed him that Jacob had seen him doing something suspicious. Then, Joey ordered Marcel to handle the situation. Will Marcel badly influence Jacob? Whatever the case might be, one thing is certain – Jacob is in danger! And this relationship between them isn’t a healthy one.
