Marquita Goings was asked about the show’s biggest plot twist. However, she said it was tough for her to choose only one twist. The show has kept surprising her from the start. Also, she pointed to the reveal of Hayley and Randy being cousins as one of the biggest shocks. For her, this twist changed everything as Randy and Hayley were planning to kill Bill together.
While reading the script, she thought that this plot would turn the story upside down. Further, she also liked the way Ted’s secret daughter was brought into the plot. According to her, this worked because Nicole had no idea and even Ted himself had no clue. Goings also spoke about the cast. For her, Timon Kyle Durrett is nothing like Bill off-camera. She called him funny and relaxed, which is the opposite of the man viewers see on screen.
Also, she said that anyone who watches the show would never imagine how cheerful he is on set. On the other hand, she told Jen that Jacob is very similar to her character. The actress was called gentle and sweet both on and off screen. And that she enjoys working with her on the show.

Goings was asked to name a favourite scene from the first year. And she chose the wedding moment where Dani walked in and removed a gun during Bill and Hayley’s ceremony. According to her, the entire setup was intense from the moment the scene began. Also, many people might have imagined such a moment. So, when it happened, it felt even stronger.
She said, I love it when Dani pulls that gun out. It was just perfect, because, man, I’m sure there have been people who wanted to do that, but just seeing it was like, whoa, this is crazy.
