He revealed that he is the complete opposite of his on-screen character in real life. He shared that his character is a bad guy, but he is nothing like that in real life. Durrett Compares Bill To A Shark!
In the new CBS soap, Bill is a relentless lawyer who just wants to fulfill his wishes. He even dumped his wife, Dani, and married Hayley. In an interview, Durrett revealed that throughout his career, he has been offered roles related to bad guys. He reflected on Bill’s personality in Beyond The Gates. He said Bill is an influential person who can’t be taken lightly. When he read the script, he didn’t understand whether his character was truly bad, but he found him intriguing enough to play the role.
He also mentioned that he is quite different from Bill and even his co-stars would confirm that as he keeps cracking Dad jokes and sharing wild stories. However, when it’s time to step into Bill’s character, he fully emerges himself. He also compared Bill to a shark. Just as the shark sticks his fin out of the water to show dominance, similarly Bill uses his power to remind him how dangerous a person he can be.
Durett Loves Playing The Character, Bill Hamilton!
Bill is quite confident and assertive but Durrett finds it hard to have these traits in real life. He also knows when to get aggressive. However, he enjoys to take play Bill in the show. The actor also likes Bill’s character because he is kind to his wife and daughters but quite rude and tough with everyone else.
He shared that it’s quite exciting to be a part of a brand-new soap opera. Durrett compared the soap to the growing tree, calling the cast the seeds that are going to make the tree bigger. He added that being a part of the show’s beginning makes him even more excited. Meanwhile, in the upcoming episodes of the soap, major confrontations between Naomi and Bill will unfold.
