We know how Kate Middleton has been missing out on quite a bit lately due to her battle with cancer. Recently, the cancer-stricken royal had to skip a major annual event with her husband, Prince William. Yet again, she’s going to miss another event. Last month, she did make a brief but brave public appearance at Trooping the Colour. However, Kensington Palace has confirmed she won’t be there for this big one. What is it? Find out!
Middleton Ditches Major Event Due to Undergoing Treatment
Prince William is supposed to hit the polo field for the Out-Sourcing Inc Royal Charity Polo Cup 2024. He’ll be at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park to raise funds for great causes. Unfortunately, Princess Kate, who’s still undergoing chemotherapy, won’t be there to cheer him on. The event means a lot to the royal duo, with the funds going to charities they deeply care about.
Last year, Middleton was right there, handing over a trophy to William and sharing a sweet kiss. Additionally, the future Queen recently shared an update, saying she’s progressing but still has ups and downs. There’s some buzz she might attend the Wimbledon finals this weekend. She’s the patron of The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.
So, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for that one! Meanwhile, the future King has got a packed schedule. He’s expected to jet off to Germany to watch England face Spain in the Euro 2024 final this Sunday. Back to the event, this polo match marks his thirteenth time playing in it. The Prince of Wales aims to raise £1 million this year, adding to the impressive £13 million raised to date.
Moreover, the funds will benefit eleven charities, including the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Other causes, such as Wales Air Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England & Wales, SHOUT, and Child Bereavement UK, are set to benefit. William’s busy day follows a speech he gave a day before about his mission to end homelessness. During the speech, he apologised for his croaky voice.
It turns out he was pretty pumped about England’s football victory the night before. Furthermore, the royal spent some quality time at an event in Brixton, marking one year of his Homewards project. He mingled with experts and learned how to best support the cause. The event had him moving around six stands, each representing different project locations.
The royal even discussed the sport he’s so passionate about- football! While Kate is on her tough journey, William is out there juggling royal duties and personal passions.
