Charles & William Will Support Harry With This Move
The Duke of Sussex, who’s set to return to the UK for the Invictus Games in 2027, could win the heart of his family if he plays his cards right this time. The Prince of Wales and his father, King Charles, might attend Prince Harry’s Games when it comes to London in 2027, in a surprising show of support for the long-estranged royal.
The West Midlands city recently announced that the city will host the sporting tournament in three years’ time. This will mark the second time when the games will be hosted in the UK, they were first hosted in 2014 where the inaugural ceremony took place.
The Invictus Games Foundation was founded by Harry in partnership with Sir Keith Mills and the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, making a royal visit a possibility. While speaking to Slingo, a former royal butler, Grant Harrold said that Harry might be looking to spend more time in Britain over the next few months and years.
Harrold said, “To come back to his home to see the Games here will, therefore, mean a lot to him. Members of the family will also definitely support him with this. As it is in the UK, it will be nice to think his father and brother will attend, and it is certainly possible that they will.”
The royal butler went on describing the Duke’s feelings about his birth country and its people. Despite the ongoing feud between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, Harrold thinks that Harry is still proud to be a Brit and might also be homesick.

He added, “His whole life was based in the UK for so many years, and to get up and walk away from that is simply impossible. There may be a part within him that may resent that he has gone away and given up his home.” There have been several reports about the Duke looking for a home in the UK. As for Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, she might not join her husband for his event over security issues. The Duchess has not been back to Britain since September 2022, but we think Invictus could be the perfect place for the estranged family to finally fix things.
