Autumn might be a thing of the past as Winter arrives in EastEnders. The BBC Soap set was covered in snow last week as filming for the soap commenced. This came in after several drone shots were revealed, which saw the set being blanketed by show and two festive nutcrackers standing guard outside Queen Vic’s doors. Now that Christmas is here, what might happen in Walford? Keep scrolling to know more!
Last year, EastEnders viewers saw one of the tragic storylines of Keanu Taylor getting stabbed to death by Linda Carter, which affected the lives of The Six. Linda killed Sharon’s fiance after he tried to murder her bestfriend. However, this became the iconic Whodunit murder mystery on the show as The Six framed Dean Wicks for the ordeal. The plot came to its end somehow during Dean Wicks’ trial. We saw Linda making a confession in front of the police.
Now that we see neatly wrapped boxes stacked under a Christmas tree once again, we cannot help but wonder what this December will bring! This led to the rumour mill spiralling, and some viewers fear that Phil Mitchell might get murdered, while others mentioned that Nish Panesar’s time on the soap has come to an end. Long-time soap opera fans know that Christmas always turns several lives upside down.

As for this year, we have several intriguing storylines, like the one with Reiss Colwell smothering his comatose wife to death and Sonia paying for his deeds behind bars. Now that Bianca is back, she is determined to get justice for her daughter. Elsewhere, there is speculation about a fire in Walford which might involve the Panesars. With the show approaching its 40th anniversary and Christmas around the same time, the drama will be on another level.
We saw several familiar faces, including Chrissie Watts, Jane Beale, and Jake Moon, at Walford, which kept the audience on their toes for the 40th milestone.
