There’s tension in the air next week on Coronation Street, and it’s not just coming from the cars at the garage. Abi Webster finds herself flustered, flirty, and far too close to danger — all thanks to her brother-in-law Carl. With emotions bubbling under the surface, could one impulsive moment ruin everything?
Jealousy, Games… and a Dodgy Phone Call
Carl has been playing cool, but his presence is drawing attention. Tracy McDonald, never shy to cause a stir, shamelessly flirts with him at the garage, attempting to provoke ex-hubby Steve. But it’s Abi who’s been left quietly fuming on the sidelines.
Things get worse when scammer Fiona sends Carl a cryptic text to meet for “business.” Abi, assuming Fiona’s his new love interest, gets even more wound up. A Corrie insider points out that Abi’s in no position to be jealous, she is married to Carl’s brother, Kevin, after all.
Anyway, with her and Kevin’s chemistry dwindling after bouts of illness, Carl’s rough-chip appeal becomes less easy to dismiss. And he’s enjoying the limelight.
When Fiona calls the garage, Tracy hears Carl referring to himself as “the boss,” and he exaggerates the mystique. Abi, not impressed, tells Tracy to keep her distance and describes Carl as a serial womaniser.
Carl Calls Her Out in Coronation Street
Once Carl hears Abi’s been trash-talking him, he wastes no time confronting her. Furious, he accuses her of fancying him, and says they’ve both been feeling the tension.
Abi slams it down, protesting she has no interest in him and even threatening to report it to Kevin if Carl doesn’t leave her alone. But Carl’s not bothered. He warns her to drop the act and — whoop — goes in for a kiss.
With Carl’s face just inches from hers, Abi is tested to the limit. Will she succumb to temptation or prioritize her marriage? It’s a dirty situation — and one kiss could destroy her world. Don’t miss what’s coming next. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the Coronation Street news!
