Charlotte Jordan is set to leave Coronation Street soon. Although viewers will bid Daisy Midgeley farewell, the actress has dropped a bombshell to suggest that the departure may be temporary. With Jordan‘s last scenes being seen on screen next month, further information is now coming out regarding Daisy‘s tearful departure.
Charlotte Jordan Speaks Out
A recently released teaser depicts Daisy preparing to begin a new life away from Weatherfield—one that will create a lasting emptiness.
The scenes will depict Jenny trying to persuade Daisy to stay, obviously heartbroken at the prospect of her departure.
In a scene that should have genuine emotional resonance, Daisy also has a poignant dialogue with Daniel, whose arrival in her life has filled her with profound love and sorrowful struggles.
Their conversation should have a crucial bearing on Daisy’s ultimate choice.
Daisy’s Weatherfield Tale Comes Full Circle
Since she first arrived on the cobbles in 2020, Daisy Midgeley has evolved from a wayward barmaid to one of the most intriguing characters on the soap.
She has fallen in love, experienced extreme trauma, and formed bonds that have tested and transformed her.
But all along, Weatherfield has been both her haven and her battlefield.
In the last year alone, Daisy has had to go through several emotionally taxing storylines, such as the traumatic stalking experience that left a lasting scar on her psyche.
Her on-again, off-again relationship with Daniel has had its share of ups and downs, but it’s frequently been the emotional focus of her journey.
Throughout all this, Jenny has been a stabilizing influence. With so much of her personal past attached to the street, it’s little wonder that her decision to leave isn’t taken lightly.
Coronation Street: Jordan Leaves the Door Ajar
Looking back on her exit, Charlotte Jordan said it was a “very bittersweet” experience for Daisy.
Although Weatherfield had provided the character with much of what she desired—such as family, a sense of community, stability, and people to love more than she maybe loved herself—it had also caused a lot of trauma.
Jordan revealed that she was thankful for her time on the show and the co-stars she worked with.
She also said Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks supported her returning to the audition circuit.
Jordan said Kate was very kind in providing Daisy with a good exit storyline, as she wanted to do the character justice.
Speaking about her time on the soap, Jordan said that Coronation Street was a very special building and that she had truly loved being part of it.
She added that this was just a goodbye for now, not a goodbye forever. We will keep you posted regarding her comeback on Soap Opera Daily. Stay tuned!
