Coronation Street sisters Leanne and Toyah Battersby are having a hell of a showdown at the cobbles. While Toyah and Nick have again resumed their relationship under Leanne’s nose, she is all in for revenge. Now, all Leanne wants is to frame Toyah for a fraud case and maybe patch things up with Nick. While her success at it is still debatable, we see the two Battersby sisters sneaking off-screen to meet an ex-colleague.
This week, we saw Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor taking to Instagram and sharing a sweet reunion with their former co-star Chris Gasycone. Taylor took her Instagram and shared a picture of the three as well, and we are getting all emotional here! It has only been a year since we bid goodbye to good old Peter Barlow – but surprisingly, he didn’t let us miss him one bit. Soon, we saw him as Captain Hook in Peter Pan – and now, he has taken on the negative role of Stromboli at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.
When Battersby Sistes Met Barlow
Given that both Battersby sisters had romantic histories with Peter Barlow back at the cobbles, we can understand how strong a bond the trio still shares. Taylor didn’t take long to post a photo on her Instagram with the three of them. She captioned it, teasing Gasycone with the eyeliner and black nail varnish look on him and praising him for being the ‘best baddie in Pinocchio.’ Maybe that’s the magic of being with old friends—it brings out the child in us!
Maybe soon, we might get to see the trio on-screen as well – who can say? Last year, when the actor appeared in an interview, he didn’t completely rule out the opportunity of his return to the cobbles. Obviously, it has been a huge part of his life – he spent almost two decades of his life there and literally grew up there! He got really emotional, saying how he grew up with the people there, and it feels no less than a home to him.
