Coronation Street looks intense next week, especially for Carla and Lisa. Things already feel tense between them, but one unexpected moment at the Swain house might push everything over the edge, and it all starts with Becky showing up in the middle of it.
Becky Just Won’t Let Go in Coronation Street
Ever since Becky Swain suddenly came back from the dead, she hasn’t stopped inserting herself into Lisa’s life. Instead of keeping things calm, she seems determined to win her ex back, even though Lisa has clearly moved on with Carla.
Her week starts on a creepy note, a funeral wreath arrives at her door with a message basically telling her to “Rest in Peace – Again.” She gets spooked and reports it to DI Jeremy Costello, saying she wants to find whoever sent it.
But then she starts taking sneaky photos of a group of teenage girls, which feels odd until Kit turns up for a promotion interview. Costello checks his phone and sees a picture of his daughter, looking shocked and rattled.
Later, Becky calls Costello and gives him a warning, sounding like she’s tired of him threatening her. What she doesn’t realise is that Kit overhears everything from outside and starts wondering if Becky might be involved in something bigger. And she still isn’t done causing trouble.
Carla Walks In At The Worst Possible Time
On the day Lisa has a lunch date with Carla, Becky conveniently gets very drunk and wanders around the cobbles. Lisa feels responsible and takes her home so she can sober up. Becky tells her she turns to drinking because she can’t handle losing everything, playing for sympathy.
Then, while Lisa’s trying to help, Becky goes upstairs for a shower and later comes downstairs wearing Lisa’s dressing gown, looking totally comfortable, like she belongs there. And that’s exactly when Carla walks in, after being stood up.
Carla feels shocked and hurt and tells Becky to get out of the house. But things get even worse when Lisa doesn’t defend her or back her up. At the same time, Costello suddenly disappears, and Kit starts thinking Becky might have something to do with it. He even shares his suspicions with Lisa, hoping she’ll finally see what’s happening. But Lisa barely has time to think, because Carla reaches breaking point. Feeling embarrassed and unsupported, she ends the relationship.
Now Lisa’s dealing with a breakup, a missing detective, and an ex who refuses to leave her life. Meanwhile, Becky may feel like she’s winning, but Kit is watching her closely and the truth might catch up with her soon. So the question is whether Carla and Lisa are done for good? Or whether there’s still hope for Swarla? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street updates.
