CS/ Becky holds Carla captive

EXIT PLAN? Becky Pushes Spain Move As Carla Goes Missing In Coronation Street

By Roy

Coronation Street is heading into a really tense phase, especially where Becky Swain is concerned. Carla is still missing, Lisa is on edge, and Becky is suddenly talking about leaving Weatherfield altogether. Now that there’s no sign of Carla, Becky’s next move could change everything, and not in a good way.

Becky’s Return Starts Causing Serious Problems

Becky’s return to the cobbles was shocking enough on its own, especially after everyone found out she had faked her own death. Since slipping back into Lisa Swain and Betsy’s lives, she has slowly made herself impossible to ignore, acting like she still belongs there.

It didn’t take long for Becky’s presence to affect Lisa’s relationship with Carla Connor. Becky kept pushing herself between them, and while Carla tried to stay calm for Betsy’s sake, she could sense something wasn’t right.

CS/ Lisa is shocked to the core

When Carla finally confronted Becky, she admitted she believed she and Lisa were meant to be together, confirming she hadn’t come back with good intentions. Things got even messier when Becky encouraged Carla to go on her planned Canary Islands holiday, suggesting it would help her cope with losing Lisa. Instead, Carla decided to tell Lisa the truth about Becky’s behaviour. Lisa, overwhelmed and frustrated, admitted she was fed up with both of them.

Carla Goes Missing And Lisa Grows More Anxious

The situation took a darker turn when Carla discovered that Becky had been behind Costello’s attack. That was the final straw for Carla, and she decided she couldn’t deal with Becky anymore. She said she’d had enough and walked away. Carla left Weatherfield for a trip to Lanzarote last week, but things soon started to feel worrying. In upcoming scenes, Lisa is left shaken when she finds out that Carla never checked into her hotel.

CS/Becky is playing the long game

Suddenly, Carla’s silence feels far more serious than just needing space. Before dealing properly with Becky again, Lisa wanted closure. She tried to contact Carla, hoping to talk things through and understand what was happening. But Becky wasn’t interested in slowing things down and continued pushing her own plans. In scenes airing on New Year’s Day, Carla is still missing from Weatherfield. With no answers and growing fear, Lisa finally tells Becky that she’s prepared to move to Spain with her.

However, Lisa makes it clear she won’t leave the cobbles until she has seen Carla, because she believes Carla deserves to hear the news directly from her. While Betsy spends time with Lauren at No.6, Becky decides she can’t wait any longer. She chooses to speed things up. The big question now is whether Becky can convince Lisa and Betsy that they’re not safe in Weatherfield and how far she’s willing to go.
