The Pressure Around Corriedale Rises
It was clear to Amy, when she entered the Corriedale premiere, that the crossover was going to be the main topic of conversation for a long time. One of her quotes was that she felt surprised and even a little bit of panic at the same time when she got the offer to be a part of it.
She had never been involved in something on such a large scale. Amy knew how huge the scale of it is. And everybody could sense the pressure as the episodes were nearing.
Becky has already stirred Weatherfield. Amy kept joking that she was unaware of what people meant when they said real Becky had not shown up yet. However, when she realised how dangerous Becky might be, she opened up. She says Becky was on a mission. And if she doesn’t get her wife and daughter back, it would break her. And Becky now sees people as obstacles. And so she tries to move them aside.
Fans React To Becky’s Growing Threat In Coronation Street
Fans have been reacting intensely. Moreover, viewers who adore Swarla haven’t kept quiet at all. And some are furious at Becky because she stepped into their story. However, others say they are impressed as Amy managed to pull it off with depth. Elsewhere, Amy was surprised when she spoke about how loyal Swarla fans have been. Furthermore, she said she was unaware how passionate the fans were.
Some fans sent her letters and care packages. They say they hated Becky but liked her. So they wanted to make sure she was doing okay mentally. Amy also says that many people are concerned about her mental health. And it’s because Becky is a twisted and heavy character. And she felt like her fans wanted to protect her from the darkness she had to carry on screen.
Elsewhere, Amy wants Swarla’s storyline to be stronger. She said Becky was like a virus that the couple would fight off and become stronger from.
