Becky Swain Returns And Reclaims Her Place In Coronation Street
Lisa Swain believed Becky was dead, and for years, she was living with that truth. This helped Betsy cope with losing her mother. However, everything changed when Becky walked back into No.6 alive. Further, she was ready to reclaim her place again. Elsewhere, she was living in Spain under a new identity. She stayed away but soon learnt that Lisa was engaged to Carla Connor. And this discovery brought her back.
Furthermore, when she arrived, Becky was clear that Lisa was hers. Elsewhere, Carla sensed it immediately and questioned Becky’s intentions. She even warned Lisa that her ex-wife was manipulating the situation. However, Lisa refused to hear it. It’s because she loved Becky and thought she had lost Betsy forever.
However, Becky stayed close and also inserted herself into Lisa’s daily life. And Carla felt isolated, which increased the pressure. Carla decided she could not live like that and so moved out. Later, when she tried to rebuild the relationship, Lisa shut her away. Lisa did so as she couldn’t put her daughter through another loss. And because of that fear, she remained silent.
Carla Walks Away As Becky Moves In
And now with Carla gone, Becky wasted no time. She decided to go on and explore Lisa’s world more deeply. During the holidays, Becky took full advantage of Carla’s absence as she was off to Lanzarote, and she made her relationship with Lisa more intimate. Then Becky reminded Lisa about the good times they shared. She also spoke about the past as if it were waiting for them. Then she kissed Lisa’s neck and also suggested rebuilding their old life once again. Moreover, Lisa did not even stop her.
It’s because she was conflicted and questioned her relationship with Carla. She was even questioning her own judgment. Becky was a part of her life for twenty years. And that familiarity was difficult as they couldn’t see what was happening.
Elsewhere, Betsy was at the centre of Lisa’s every decision, as protecting her daughter mattered. Becky, Lisa, Carla, and Betsy, the quartet, have been confirmed to all feature in a special upcoming episode. For more Coronation Street spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
