Becky’s Return Turns Lisa’s Life Upside Down
Lisa Swain was finally in a good place. After years of thinking her wife Becky had died in a hit-and-run, she’d moved on and found happiness with Carla Connor. They were even engaged and looking forward to a fresh start together.
Then, out of nowhere, Becky reappeared, alive and living in Spain under a fake name all this time. The moment she showed up, Becky tried to win Lisa back. She reminded her of their vows, their past, and even tried to kiss her, but Lisa stood firm.
Still, Becky wasn’t ready to walk away. She turned her attention to their daughter, Betsy, and quickly won her over. Betsy even suggested they all move to Spain as one big family. It sounded like a nice idea until Lisa and Carla agreed that’s when Becky’s jealousy started to show. She tried to convince Betsy that Carla was bad for them, but Betsy wouldn’t listen. That’s when Becky realised she’d have to take things into her own hands.
Lisa and Carla Feel the Pressure in Coronation Street
Becky’s return has made life difficult for everyone, especially Lisa and Carla. Since Lisa is still legally married to Becky, she can’t marry Carla. Hoping for a solution, Lisa went to DI Costello, but his answer left her stunned. He said the only way she could move forward was if Becky went back to being “dead.” When Lisa told Carla about it, things got tense fast. Carla told her she had to choose, either break the law or walk away.
While Lisa was struggling with that, Costello decided to deal with Becky himself. He confronted her and warned that if she didn’t leave Weatherfield, she’d end up like Tia Wardley. But Becky didn’t back down. She told him she wasn’t going anywhere without Lisa and Betsy, then brought up his daughter and that hit a nerve. It was a clear sign Becky was done playing nice.
Later that night, Lisa showed up at Becky’s door, frightened after seeing some gang members from her past. Carla reluctantly agreed to let Becky sleep on the sofa for the night, hoping it would calm things down. But Becky wasn’t thinking about rest; she was thinking about revenge. Still angry about Costello’s threat, Becky sat scrolling through social media, searching for photos of his daughter. The look on her face said it all.
