In recent episodes, Bernie has found herself entangled in one problematic decision after another, often driven by her fiery sense of justice. But this week, she and her daughter Gemma took things to an alarming new level. The pair invited Naomi to The Bistro under false pretences and intended to provoke Naomi into losing her temper. However, Bernie was secretly recording the whole thing on her phone. They wanted to catch Naomi lashing out and expose her behaviour.
Gemma started taunting Naomi by calling her a “scumbag in a suit,” while Bernie stood by filming, convinced they were about to make a point. However, their plan quickly fell apart. Toyah Battersby spotted what Bernie was doing and, realising how bad things could get, phoned Dev for help. But before he could arrive, Naomi snapped but only far more violently. Kit stepped in to break things up before it escalated further, but by then, the damage was done.
The Shocking Truth Comes Out
As chaos unfolded, Naomi accused Bernie, Gemma, and Dev of stalking her, prompting Kit to haul all three of them to the police station. Before leaving, Dev stunned everyone when he decided to reveal something deeply personal that had been weighing on him for months. The show didn’t air the moment immediately, but later, Nina Lucas visited Asha Alahan and revealed the fallout. A video had gone viral online showing Dev confronting Naomi and exposing her for verbally abusing Asha.
This revelation brought Asha’s pain back to the surface. She had been struggling with her mental health ever since Naomi’s racist outburst, and her father’s attempt to intervene only reopened old wounds. When Dev tried to justify himself, insisting he meant well, Asha confronted him, saying he’d betrayed her trust yet again. Later, Kit and Bernie visited the Alahan home to share that Naomi had been officially charged with assault causing actual harm.
