Things are going from bad to worse in Coronation Street, and at the centre of it all is Mick Michaelis. He’s been throwing his weight around since day one, but now he’s finally showing his true colours. And as his world starts to fall apart, he’s dragging other people down with him.
From Dodgy Neighbour to Dangerous Enemy
Do you recall when Mick was grinning from ear to ear with beers at Chesney and Gemma’s doorstep? Ah, those are far and long gone. He’s fought with George, Debbie, Ronnie, even gotten into a rift with Chesney over the van saga. But that was when we found out that he’s Brody’s father—yes, that Brody who tormented Dylan’s life in prison.
Mick attacked Dylan’s father Sean for saying what he did and left him bloodied and shaken. Next, he earned the trust of Gary by rescuing Liam from a street mugging, which earned him a job at the builder’s yard.
But before too long, the true Mick reappeared, bullying pathetic Liam and even locking him in a tool shed. Classic Mick.
Eventually, Gary finally lost it, booted him out—and that should have been the end of things. But naturally, Mick had something else in mind.
Secrets, Anger… and a Bloody Crusade in Coronation Street
When Gary attempted to report him once more, Mick laughed it off. Because he’s got Kit Green around his little finger. Even after destroying the yard, Mick walked free, courtesy of Kit playing dumb to the mayhem.
Why is Kit so soft on him? That’s what everyone’s asking, and we’re finally about to find out. Friday’s special flashback episode will reveal exactly what went down between Mick, Lou, and Kit years ago… and why Kit still holds back from taking Mick down.
But as the past is revealed, the present darkens. Mick attacks Lou in a jealous rage after Kit makes a remark about her devotion.
Lou is left with a head injury, and when Sean and Gemma can’t find her, alarm bells begin to ring. Sean speeds to the police, set to finally reveal the truth about who actually attacked him all those weeks ago — and he hopes it’s not too late.
Mick Goes Round the Bend
While Mick speeds away in his van, out of control and ranting, Kit attempts to reason with him. But Mick bellows down the phone, holding Kit responsible for everything, and then disappears.
Meanwhile, Maria discovers Craig lying unconscious and badly hurt. His situation is desperate with swelling on the brain, and he’s rushed to the hospital. But who attacked him, and why?
And just when you think that Mick can’t possibly get any worse, he kidnaps Bernie. The showdown is at last away from the cobbles, where Mick employs Bernie as bait to entice Kit and Bernie pleads with her son to rescue her.
Will Kit finally confront his depraved friendship? Will Craig recover from his wounds? And how much is Mick prepared to take things before someone intervenes? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Coronation Street updates.
