Coronation Street Boss Lee Announces Exit!
Coronation Street boss has left the show after 10 big years and moved to a rival soap. Corrie fans know that the ITV series is going through a major cast exodus, and amidst all this- the show is losing out on one of its biggest soap bosses. According to sources, Lee Rayner, the Head of Production for the show, has called it quits after being on the soap for more than a decade. The talented boss will leave Weatherfield for a rival soap, Hollyoaks, soon.
Rayner also released a statement saying, “I am thrilled to be embarking on a new adventure at Lime Pictures as head of production for Hollyoaks and helping to deliver such an engaging high-end drama.” He also mentioned that he is excited to reunite with the incredibly talented Hannah Cheers and is looking forward to working with the highly skilled team.
Fans of the drama series know that Lee joined Corrie in 2011. He started his journey as an assistant director and was appointed head of production in 2021. This shocking update comes in following the major cast exodus, which will see several fan-favorite characters leaving the cobbles.
