Coronation Street might be replacing Craig Tinker as the local cop after spotting a new character in a recent episode. We know that Colson Smith, who portrays the role of Craig, is all set to leave the cobbles after being with us for 14 years. The actor recently announced his exit from the ITV soap and shared the update on social media.
He took to Instagram and wrote, ‘Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker’s time on the Cobbles is to come to an end in 2025.’ Smith also added that he loved every single second of his 14-year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world. ‘I’ve learned pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home. I’m excited to play out the exit story for our Craigy. For me, this is the end of the beginning,’ he added.
Long-time viewers know that Colson made his debut in Cobbles at the age of 12. Moreover he has been a part of some major storylines ever since. The beloved actor’s character might be getting replaced as a new cop has stepped into his role. Furthermore, eagle-eyed Corrie fans recently spotted a police man arriving at Chesney Brown’s house who wanted to talk to him about a damaged van.
