Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s engagement night in Coronation Street doesn’t go as planned. Instead of enjoying their celebration, the couple sense something more unsettling; someone is watching them. Who could that be?
The Past Comes Back
Earlier this week, the couple finally got engaged after a series of failed proposal attempts. But even that big moment came with its own drama. Carla’s proposal was interrupted when David Platt threw their recycling back over the fence, and Lisa spotted a scrap of paper with the name “Tia Wardley” written on it. That name had been troubling them for months. Logan Radcliffe had once mentioned it in connection with Becky Swain’s murder.

The idea that Becky may have been corrupt weighed heavily on Lisa. Wanting to clear things up, Carla went to visit Logan in prison, but she came back with no answers. The note caused a fresh row between the couple. Lisa reminded Carla she had asked her to leave it all alone, but Carla said it was old and nothing to worry about. Still, the tension was clear between them.
A Shocking Visitor in Coronation Street
That tension was stirred again when a woman arrived at their engagement dinner claiming to be Tia Wardley. Carla, Lisa, and Kit Green jumped at the chance to hear what she had to say. The woman insisted that Becky had helped her turn her life around and said that without her, she would have been in prison. Lisa was relieved to hear this, taking it as proof that Becky had never been corrupt. Kit, however, wasn’t convinced so easily. He asked her if she knew DI Costello, a man who had been acting suspiciously in recent weeks.

She told him she had no idea who he was, and Kit finally seemed satisfied. But later, the truth came out. The woman got into a car with Costello, demanded payment, and mocked that Lisa and Kit had “no idea” what the real Tia Wardley looked like. Though Costello gave her money, he refused to say why he wanted to stop the detectives from digging into Becky’s case.
Still thinking they had spoken to the real Tia, Carla and Lisa carried on with their evening. They dodged questions from Ryan Connor and Betsy Swain before heading home. But as they walked, something felt off. Lisa shivered and told Carla she felt as if someone had just walked over her grave. Someone was clearly watching them from the shadows.
