Carl’s Secret Deal Gains Speed
Over the past few weeks, Carl has been fooling everyone at the garage. He’s teamed up with newcomer Fiona to fake MOTs on stolen cars, using Kevin’s name and space to cover their tracks. They’ve kept it quiet, meeting secretly, and slowly turning the garage into a front for their shady dealings. Meanwhile, Kevin’s been keeping a very different secret. Even though his cancer tests came back all clear, he’s still told Abi he’s having treatment.
It’s unclear why he’s lying, but he hasn’t come clean yet. The only person who knows the truth is Tyrone, and he’s been reluctantly helping Kevin hide it from Abi. On Friday, 25 July, Abi’s ready to go with Kevin to another fake chemo session. Tyrone steps in to stall her, giving Kevin a chance to sneak off and hide in the ginnel, completely unaware that his hiding spot is about to lead him into a new mess.
Kevin Catches Carl in the Act in Coronation Street
While hiding, Kevin sees Carl and Fiona having yet another secret meeting. Carl brags about a flashy car he’s fixing up and tells Fiona she should steal it so they can split the profits. Kevin watches in horror and moments later sees Fiona driving off in the stolen car. He chases after her but suddenly feels unwell and collapses. Luckily, Glenda sees what’s happening and gets him to the hospital right away.
Later, Carl shows up to bring Kevin home, but instead of a quiet ride back, things escalate. Kevin confronts Carl about what he heard in the ginnel. Carl doesn’t deny it but counters with something even bigger. He says he’s spoken to Kevin’s doctor and knows the truth: Kevin doesn’t need chemo at all and has been lying to Abi. The brothers find themselves stuck, each holding something that could ruin the other.
Who’s Going to Crack First?
Neither of them backs down. Kevin threatens to report Carl for his scam with fake MOTs. Carl threatens to tell Abi the truth about Kevin’s fake cancer story. Both stand to lose a lot, and neither can afford for the other to speak.
A Coronation Street insider shared, “It was bad enough for Kevin when Tyrone found out, but this is a whole other level.” The source added that Carl knows Abi’s only with Kevin because she believes he’s still ill, and this could be the perfect chance for him to win her over.
