Carl Fights To Stay Alive In Coronation Street
Carl almost dies in the crash, but luckily survives. He was drunk when he was driving. Elsewhere, he later found Debbie not breathing and moved her into the driver’s seat so she would be blamed. He then stumbled away. However, he soon collapsed on the roadside. Elsewhere, Asha Alahan, who is still training as a paramedic, found him moments later.
She couldn’t find his pulse. And so she gave him chest compressions. She did until his heart restarted. Later, when he flatlined again, he was rushed to the hospital. And luckily, he survived. On the other side, Debbie’s first thought was to check if Carl was okay. However, Carl only wanted to ensure that no one could connect the accident to him.
Debbie has young-onset dementia. And Carl used to use it against her for weeks. Moreover, he even hid his affair with Abi by blaming her memory lapses. Later, he even convinced her to hand over her business accounts. Later, he stole her money from the accounts. However, this time he went one step ahead and told her a false memory about the crash.
Debbie informed Carl that everything felt blurry. Moreover, he even told her that they swapped seats. It was because she was scared he might drive drunk. Later, Kevin reached the hospital. He told her what he had seen. He saw Carl drive away while Debbie was in the passenger seat. Kevin wanted Carl to stop blaming Debbie. However, she insisted that she had been driving. Elsewhere, he said that the bruises from the seatbelt would show exactly where she sat. At home, Debbie checked her bruises. However, she had already made up her mind to defend Carl.
Kevin Pushes For The Truth
Kevin didn’t want Carl to get away with another lie. He then cornered him and admitted something. He tells Carl he wanted to tamper with the machines that kept him alive the previous night. However, in the end, the alarm started blaring. And so Kevin thought someone else had already tried. However, Carl brushed it off and said he was still alive. Then Kevin stared at him and said, “Let’s see how long for.”
Earlier, doctors told that Carl has a heart condition. He has an extra pathway in his heart. And that it sometimes misfires. And because of the crash, his heart went into an abnormal rhythm. This stopped it from pumping properly.
