Ever since he came, Carl has been the indulgent brother and supportive friend—soothing Kevin through cancer and subtly assisting Debbie with her dementia. But things are beginning to crack.
It was Corrie insider claims that Carl’s been playing a long game. The warning signs appear when Carl intervenes to exclude Debbie’s boyfriend Ronnie from the hotel. Debbie, jealous upon meeting Ronnie’s former flame Fiona, pretends to have a new man to avoid Ronnie’s embarrassment. Carl takes advantage of the opportunity and gives Ronnie the boot and sends Ronnie packing.
Ronnie Gets Pulled In – But Carl’s Watching
Embarrassed by Carl’s interference, Ronnie consents to a shady favour for Fiona—offloading a hot car. He finds a buyer, but after discovering the man’s recently experienced tragedy, Ronnie bails out and fibs to Fiona that the sale fell through.
But Carl has heard it all. “Ronnie’s not hard enough,”our source suggests. “And Carl is aware of it. Now it’s a question of—what will he do with that knowledge?” Later, Kevin, oblivious to all of this, gives Carl a job at the garage. Abi is furious, suspicious of Carl’s every step. And she has reason to be.
The Garage Just Got Hazardous in Coronation Street
Carl doesn’t dawdle. He secretly makes contact with Fiona and arranges to accept a dubious car drop-off, right at the garage. Worse still, Kevin has no concept of what his brother is doing.
“This is the beginning of a slippery slope,” warns the insider. “Carl’s bringing the garage into illegality, and the guys he’s involved with aren’t going to be satisfied with one job. It could quickly get very dangerous.”
With Carl plotting in the background, Ronnie keeping secrets, and Abi on the lookout, the Websters are walking right into danger. If Kevin doesn’t take action soon, his business, and family, could be in serious jeopardy.
