Carl tried to deny it, but the truth caught up with him fast. James stepped forward and admitted the affair, apologising as he did. The revelation left Carl humiliated, and he stormed out after being asked to leave, while Abi watched her revenge land exactly where it hurt most.
Ryan Steps In As Abi’s Revenge Brings A Bigger Threat in Coronation Street
Abi’s actions didn’t just damage Carl’s reputation; they gave power to others who want him brought down. After later apologising to Debbie for unknowingly spending her money and admitting she couldn’t repay it, Abi was offered a lifeline.
Debbie suggested she return to work at the garage with Kevin Webster to work off the debt, keeping Abi firmly in Carl’s orbit. Meanwhile, Kevin made it clear he’s not backing down either. He assured Tyrone Dobbs that he’ll keep fighting to prove Carl was responsible for his hit-and-run.
But it was Ryan Connor who raised the stakes even higher. Ryan revealed he believes Carl has been stealing from Debbie’s hotel by manipulating her and controlling the accounts. More importantly, Ryan is gathering evidence and preparing to go to the police.
