Aadi Alahan is all set to leave Coronation Street behind. After a tough few months that included the collapse of his short-lived romance with Amy and a major scare involving Lauren, Aadi decides it might actually be time for a fresh start. But while his bags may be nearly packed, the emotional impact of that decision is just beginning and for one family member, it’s going to hurt more than expected.
Dev Keeps Pushing Aadi to Move On
Everything haven’t been easy for Aadi lately. His relationship with Amy Barlow ended before it even had the chance to settle, and not long after, he found himself caught up in a troubling situation with Lauren. Aadi admitted to Dev and Asha that he accidentally spiked Lauren’s drink at a party. Luckily for him, the police let him off with just a warning. But Dev saw it as yet another sign that Aadi needed a change.

For weeks now, he’s been urging his son to move to India and stay with family there. He believed it was the best way for Aadi to leave the drama behind and get a proper restart. Asha didn’t take that idea well. She was completely against it from the start. Yes, she and Aadi argue like any siblings would, but the bond between them is strong, especially as twins. The thought of him leaving felt wrong to her, and she wasn’t afraid to let Dev know.
Coronation Street: Aadi Makes Up His Mind
Now, Aadi has had a change of heart. He tells Dev that he’s ready to go and even reveals he’s already spoken with their cousin Vikram in India to start planning his move. For Asha, it’s a real shock. A Coronation Street insider shared that this will hit Asha especially hard.

Asha is used to Aadi being there, even if they’ve had their differences. According to the source, “She’s known for bickering with Aadi, but she’s also never known a world where he’s not around when she needs him.”
She didn’t agree with Dev’s plan at first but now she has no choice but to accept that her brother wants to leave. While the scenes will come as a surprise to some characters, viewers have been expecting it.

Back in April, Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi, confirmed he was leaving the show. He said on Instagram, “Over the five years I’ve spent there, I have learned so much about the world and the industry and now feel I am ready to spread my wings a little.”
Saying Goodbye Won’t Be Easy
Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha, also shared how emotional it’s been behind the scenes. Speaking to Digital Spy, she called Adam her “second brother” and said working with him for five years has been a joy. She said, “He’s amazing. I love the bones. But he’s fabulous and he’s going to fly… I just hope he doesn’t forget me!”

As Aadi prepares to say goodbye to the cobbles, his exit will leave a gap both in his family, and in Corrie fans’ hearts. Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for all the latest Coronation Street spoilers, cast updates, and emotional exits.
