Maggie appears among five regular residents who could die in the storyline, making every one of her scenes feel important. Her behaviour already causes problems for people around her. Maggie often upsets others, even her own family members, and Lauren now faces the worst of it.
Recent ITVX scenes show Maggie deliberately changing the Rovers Return rotas so Lauren cannot spend much time with Ollie. Maggie openly shares her thoughts while speaking to Ben and Eva.
She calls Lauren “a misery guts single mother from a bad family” and says she has “a terrible history with men,” insisting that kind of background is not right for her grandson. She also takes a dig at Eva, saying he would not be the first man in the family fooled by “an airhead bottle-blonde with no concept of modesty.”

Maggie later approaches Ollie and questions his relationship directly. She throws cruel remarks at him about Lauren’s past and doubts their future together. Ollie tries to brush off the conversation and refuses to argue, but Maggie keeps pushing.
