We have big news! Coronation Street is gearing up to bring back a major character that previously fell off the canvas. In fact, his return scenes have already been filmed! News reports suggest that Corrie has been shooting a stretch of court scenes on location. The parking of the location was closed off, and a famous Newton and Ridley van seen was parked outside of the former magistrates court in Bolton last week.
For the unversed, Newton and Ridley vans are the ones that are used by the crew to transport shooting equipment. Coronation Street spoilers confirm that the historic building on Le Mans Crescent regularly doubles as Weatherfield Crown Court on the soap. The fact that court scenes are being filmed suggests that a character is about to land in big trouble.
Interestingly, actress Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Habeeb was spotted on the location. Does that mean she is the one in trouble? We do know that an investigation is going on to uncover the truth behind Joel Deering’s death, but we highly doubt Toyah has anything to do with that. So what’s really up?
Well, there is one more person awaiting trial on Corrie. The cult leader- Rowan Cunliffe. Toyah’s sister Leanne was deeply involved in the cult and Rowan’s downfall. She also uncovered the fact that Rowan was blackmailing Nick and Toyah. Thus, it would make sense that Toyah would be present at his trial, especially since he had pleaded not guilty to the blackmail charges.

A few months ago, in an interview with Metro, actor Emrhys Cooper confirmed that he would return as Rowan to conclude the storyline. Thus, we have a feeling that Rowan is the major character who is returning for the mystery court scenes. But what will his fate be? Will Rowan be proven guilty, or will he be exonerated?
