Coronation Street is heading back to dark territory as Will Driscoll once again sets his sights on Daniel Osbourne. After the shocking Christmas attack in the ginnel, you might expect Will to lie low. But next week proves that his anger toward Daniel is far from over.
Will Can’t Let Go After Christmas Attack On Daniel
Only viewers know the real reason behind Will’s hatred. He has been secretly involved with his coach, Megan Walsh, who has been grooming him since before they arrived in Weatherfield. To hide the truth, Megan has been publicly dating Daniel, using him as a cover; something Will has never been able to accept. That jealousy boiled over at Christmas when Will attacked Daniel in the ginnel and knocked him unconscious.

The situation could have exposed everything, but Will’s grandmother Maggie quickly stepped in and made it look like a mugging, keeping Daniel completely in the dark. Even after the horror of that night, Will hasn’t backed off. In fact, seeing Megan and Daniel together since Christmas has only made things worse, and Daniel is about to feel the effects again.
Daniel Unknowingly Pushes Will Too Far Again
Episodes airing from Monday show Daniel in a positive mood as he prepares for his son Bertie’s birthday party. He carries cake and presents into the Barlow house with Megan, unaware that Will is watching and clearly struggling to cope with the sight of them together. Tensions rise further when Daniel tells Megan that Will has been misbehaving at school and has earned himself a detention.

Instead of taking responsibility, Will becomes fixated on Daniel once more, angrily demanding to know whether Megan stayed over at Daniel’s flat. Later in the week, Daniel becomes the target of another act of aggression. When he borrows Ken’s car, he is horrified to find a crude symbol spray-painted on the side. Daniel has no idea who is behind it, or that Will’s jealousy is once again driving his actions.
Megan Panics As Will Keeps Targeting Daniel
Megan quickly realises that Will is becoming a serious problem. In a moment in the ginnel, she lashes out at him, furious that his jealousy has put their secret at risk. She makes it clear that his behaviour could expose everything. A Corrie insider explained that Megan is terrified Will is drawing too much attention to himself. “Megan is a master manipulator and she fears that Will is drawing too much attention to himself,” the source said.

“The last thing she wants is to raise suspicion about their inappropriate relationship.” Despite her warning, Will still seems unable to stop himself. Now that Daniel is once again caught in the middle, the big question is, will Will finally back off, or is Daniel about to face another terrifying moment after the Christmas horror?
