Life in Coronation Street was never easy for Daisy Midgeley, but even she couldn’t have predicted just how messy things would get. With her bags almost packed and dreams of a fresh start just within reach, Daisy thought she was finally winning. But when you’re tangled up in lies and scheming against family, it’s only a matter of time before the whole house of cards comes crashing down.
Daisy’s Big Escape Plan Starts to Crumble
Having discovered that Jenny Connor had inherited a nice amount of money, Daisy did not hesitate to devise a plan. She invited her mum, Christina, and they conspired to carry out the perfect con—swindle Jenny of her money and steal it.
Jenny’s scheme to purchase the Rovers was common knowledge, and Daisy thought it was the ideal time to swoop in behind her back. With all seeming to work out, Daisy had already decided to make her exit from Weatherfield once and for all, with Daniel Osbourne dutifully willing to leave with her.
But just as Daisy envisioned her new existence, warning signs appeared. She became suspicious when Christina wouldn’t dispose of the burner phone she’d been using to catfish Jenny. Why couldn’t Dom take over the texts himself now that he was completely drawn into the scheme?
Daisy couldn’t understand it, but with her mind firmly on her exit, she disregarded the nagging doubts. In the meantime, Jenny had a bombshell of her own to share. She confided in Daisy about inheriting £60,000 in shares and intended to put the whole lot into Dom‘s supposed company.
If that wasn‘t cause for concern, Daniel caught Christina suspiciously maneuvering two mobile phones. Alarm bells were ringing, though nobody knew how loud they would sound.
It wasn’t long after that. Christina and Dom had a big win the next day when Jenny formally sent the money. But as they say, pride comes before a fall, and the pair made a bumbler’s mistake—having a very confidential conversation at the not-so-confidential backyard of the Rovers.
The Betrayal Stings in Coronation Street
Unknown to them, Daisy had been hiding around, and what they were discussing was enough to send her stomach into a free fall. Christina and Dom seemed to have other plans that didn‘t involve Daisy at all. Yeah, they were double-crossing their own accomplice!
And just when Daisy believed things couldn‘t get any worse, they did. As Julie Carp’s bingo fundraiser was underway, Christina kept busy manning the event, allowing Daisy to slip away. Daisy went into the back room of the Rovers, where she found Jenny in a total state of panic—obviously something huge had happened.
But the bombshell? Someone very close to Daisy had finally realized the complete extent of her plotting and was about to blow her entire ruse wide apart. Now, only the upcoming Coronation Street spoilers can reveal the rest. Until then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more soap updates.
