There’s something seriously unsettling going on in Coronation Street right now, and it all comes back to Gary Windass. With him still missing and tensions bubbling all over the cobbles, two familiar faces might be closer to the truth than they realise, or are trying very hard to forget.
Gary Vanishes After Things Blow Up With Maria
We all saw it coming, Gary and Maria’s marriage has been hanging by a thread ever since Lou Michaelis came into the picture. Lou stirred the pot, and next thing you know, Gary stormed out after a massive fallout with Maria. He told her he was going to his mum’s, but it’s been nearly three weeks and no one’s heard a single word from him. Maria’s doing her best to hold it together, but she’s clearly panicking now.
What she doesn’t know is that Gary never made it to his mum’s. In fact, viewers already know that he was brutally attacked and has been in hospital this whole time, unconscious, fighting for his life.
The question on everyone’s mind, who did this to him? Before disappearing, Gary had started growing closer to Lou, which caused even more tension with Maria.
Actor Mikey North, who plays Gary, recently shared that Gary felt like Maria wasn’t telling him the full truth and that pushed him further toward Lou. He also said Gary saw parts of himself in Lou and wanted to look out for her, unlike Maria, who never trusted Lou for a second.
Nina and Summer Remember Something in Coronation Street
Now here’s where things get really twisty. A new spoiler clip shows Nina and Summer having a chat, and it turns out they might have crossed paths with Gary the night he vanished. Problem is, they were both high on LSD at the time.
Summer thinks it’s all just a weird coincidence and doesn’t want to talk about it. But Nina’s not so sure. She insists they did see something, and it wasn’t a hallucination.
Summer shuts it down, clearly freaked out, while Nina’s left questioning whether something awful actually happened that night. They know Gary’s missing, but they have no clue he’s lying in a coma.
Could they have been involved in what happened to him without even realising? Or worse, are they hiding something they don’t want to admit? There’s going to be a flashback next week that spills what really went down, and it might just blow everything wide open.
What Comes Next Could Change Everything
So where does this leave everyone? Maria’s still searching for answers, completely unaware that her husband is in critical condition. Nina is clearly torn up inside, and Summer’s desperate to pretend nothing happened. But if that flashback proves they had something to do with Gary’s attack, things are going to get very messy.
And let’s not forget about Lou. She’s still in the background, and Gary’s connection to her was growing stronger just before everything went south. Mikey North mentioned Gary was trying to stand up for Lou because of what she’d been through, but Maria saw right through her from day one. Maybe she was right to be suspicious after all?
